The team

Two people, deliberately.

We don't sell headcount. We combine two complementary careers that between them cover the full arc — from AI systems and hardware, through the polished app in a user's hand, to taking it to market.

Consultant engineer managers

Dominic Frazer-Imregh

Consultant Engineer & Manager Co-founder and CTO of RECRD, an AI video platform

Has shipped native Apple software since iOS 3 — Objective-C and manual retain/release, then ARC, now SwiftUI. Every reinvention of the platform, still shipping on it.

That engineering depth sits on top of a rarer commercial foundation — founding and selling a software company, then leading international sales, marketing and business development across the USA and EMEA. It also includes fifteen years in retail systems and warehouse management, from EPoS and stock control to multi-lane rollouts and back-office logistics.

He is as comfortable architecting a payments app as he is building the channel to sell it.

  • Languages: Swift, Objective-C, C/C++, Java, TypeScript, SQL, Pascal, Assembler
  • Back end & data: Cassandra, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Redis, Kafka, Kubernetes — microservices and RESTful APIs
  • Client platforms: iOS, iPadOS, tvOS, watchOS and macOS
  • Leadership: building startups, leading delivery teams, architecture, hiring, mentoring
  • Commercial: founder exit, international sales, channel and reseller strategy

Alex Frazer

Consultant Engineer & Manager Head of AI Systems and Mobile at RECRD Group

A mobile and AI engineer with a First Class honours degree in Computer Science — specialising in AI and robotics — and an MSc in Artificial Intelligence from the University of the West of England.

Over roughly nine years he has shipped native apps on both platforms and worked hands-on at the applied-AI frontier: he led the team that built RECRD's content-analysis and recommendation engine, and built computer-vision object identification in video to auto-generate the category tags feeding an in-house recommender.

He designs and builds robots, sensors and connected devices, giving the practice genuine hardware and embedded reach alongside its software depth.

  • AI & ML: recommendation engines, computer vision, NLP, LLM-powered features
  • Languages: Kotlin, Java, Swift, Objective-C, C/C++, Python, R
  • Back end & data: SQL, Redis, Spark, and the AWS systems behind the AI tooling
  • Mobile: expert native Android and iOS, including running split codebases across both
  • Regulated: built an EU-compliant gambling product in a transaction-heavy sector
  • Robotics & IoT: academic specialism plus hands-on device building, sensors and control systems

Why us

The philosophy behind the practice is simple: a couple of deeply experienced people, armed with modern AI tooling, can now deliver what used to take a squad of five and a quarter of runway.

Writing code is no longer the expensive part. Judgement is. We put senior engineers plus AI tooling against problems that once needed a full team, cutting cost and coordination overhead without cutting the quality of the decisions.

Building software is only part of the work. The rest is judgement, direction, and getting a project across the line.
