TVApp is a native client for Jellyfin, the free media server. It lets you browse and stream your own movies, shows, and other media from your Jellyfin server on Apple TV, iPhone, iPad, Mac and Android.

On first launch, enter your Jellyfin server's address (for example http://192.168.1.10:8096 or your public URL) and sign in with your Jellyfin username and password. TVApp connects directly to that server — nothing goes through us.

TVApp uses VLC for playback, which handles most formats and codecs directly. If something won't play, first confirm it plays in another Jellyfin client, check that your device and server are on a reachable network, and make sure your server has enough bandwidth for the file. Restarting the app clears most transient playback issues.

Yes. You can also pre-set your favourite subtitle languages, so adding them during playback is a single step rather than hunting through a list every time.

Yes. Set an age filter and TVApp hides anything rated above it, everywhere in the app. You can lock it with an optional PIN, and the setting follows you to your other devices through your Jellyfin server.

Yes, on Apple platforms — remote control support is Apple-only, so it isn't available in the Android build.

No. It's free, there are no adverts, and there's nothing to buy inside it. There's no account to create either — you can install it and walk out of the door.

Yes. Start a recording and it keeps going in the background with your phone in your pocket, collecting distance, pace, ascent and descent as you move. Afterwards you get elevation and speed charts you can pinch to zoom, and an honest stopped time — it works out where you actually stopped rather than counting every pause at a gate, and you can set what counts as stopped in Settings. A saved track can be put back on the map later so you can walk it again.

Yes — tap out a multi-point walking, cycling or driving route and you'll see the distance, the time and an elevation profile before you commit to it. Routes can be saved, renamed, loaded back onto the map when you leave, and shared as a GPX file for another app or device.

Partly, and it's worth knowing which parts. The map is drawn from tiles fetched over the network and route planning is calculated by an online service, so both of those need a connection. Everything already on your device keeps working without one: your recorded tracks, trails, markers and photos, plus the compass, sun times, unit converter and all the games. Recording a track works offline too — that's your phone's GPS rather than the network — so a walk out of signal still records properly, you just won't see the map underneath it.

A trail is a route you lay out by hand: numbered pins for the way round, and symbols for the things worth stopping at. To share one, show the QR code to somebody standing next to you and have them scan it in their own copy of the app. It travels phone to phone — no server, no link, and nothing to sign up for.

Wet weather games are for when you're stuck in the tent or on the train — Pairs, Grid Hunt, Spotter and Trails & Ladders, all built on map symbols, with your best scores kept. Out and About is the opposite: it scatters ten cards across an area around you and you collect them by walking to within 15 m of each. Choose how big the area is and how the cards are laid out, then share the same area with a friend by QR code so you can both run it.

With your permission it uses your device location to show where you are, centre the map, and record a track as you move. That happens on your device and is never sent to us. To draw the map and plan routes, coordinates are sent to the map and routing providers below so they can return the right tiles and routes. You can revoke location access at any time in the Settings app.

Yes. Under Settings › Sync to Cloud you can switch on syncing through iCloud Drive or Google Drive, and your tracks, trails, markers, trips and photos will follow you between devices. It stays off until you turn it on. iCloud uses the Apple Account already on the device, so there's nothing to sign into; Google Drive keeps everything in a private folder only the app can see, and works on Android too. Either way it is your own cloud storage — the data never passes through us. Syncing waits for Wi-Fi by default, because photos and tracks get large.

Either switch sync on for both devices and let them meet in the cloud, or use Settings › Backup & restore to save the lot to a single file and restore that on the new phone. Restoring merges rather than overwrites — anything newer on the device you're restoring to is kept, and if the same thing was edited in two places you end up with both copies rather than quietly losing one.

On your device by default — recorded GPS tracks, hand-built trails, markers, trips and any photos you attach. None of it is sent to PowerSlave Developments. If you switch sync on, a copy also sits in your own iCloud Drive or Google Drive, under your account and their terms rather than ours. Deleting the app removes the copy on the device, so turn on sync or export a backup first if you want to keep any of it.

Eleven: English, Croatian, French, German, Hungarian, Italian, Polish, Portuguese, Slovak, Slovenian and Spanish. It follows whatever language your device is set to.

TreeWise covers 55 species, identified by their leaves, bark and seeds. Each species also shows when it flowers and fruits, so you can narrow things down by time of year as well as by appearance.

On your device only. Sightings you log, including any photos you attach, are never sent to PowerSlave Developments — see the privacy policy. Removing the app deletes them, so back up anything you want to keep.

Five activities. Spot it names what the camera is pointed at, and can be taught new things. Frame it scores a photo's composition out of 100 against a chosen guide. Colours breaks a picture down into its named colours and their proportions. Mirror reflects half a face to build a symmetrical one. Filters tries a look on all or part of the picture. There's also a Show Off mode for demonstrating what it has been taught to someone else.

Yes, and all of it runs on your device. Recognition uses Apple's built-in Vision classifier — around 1,300 categories — plus a nearest-neighbour match against whatever your child has taught it. Composition scoring uses saliency, horizon detection and Apple's aesthetics model.

None of it is a chatbot or a cloud service. The app ships no model files of its own, contains no networking code, and sends nothing anywhere to be analysed. When your child teaches it something, what gets saved is a numeric fingerprint of the image in a file on the device — not the picture uploaded to train a model somewhere. My Brain lists everything that has been taught and can forget any of it.

No. PhotoWise contains no networking code at all — recognition, composition scoring, colour analysis, mirroring and filters all run on the device. It works fully offline.
