Privacy Policy

The short version

None of our apps collect your personal information. There is no analytics, no tracking, no advertising, and no user account. PowerSlave Developments runs no server that receives your data. What you create stays on your device.

Map Wanderer is not covered here. It uses third-party mapping and routing services, so it has its own policy — see the Map Wanderer privacy policy.

Data we collect

None. PowerSlave Developments operates no back-end server that receives information from these apps. They contain no analytics or crash-reporting SDKs, no advertising SDKs, and no tracking identifiers. We do not build profiles, and we have nothing to sell or share, because we never receive it in the first place.

We are not able to identify you, contact you, or see how you use any of these apps unless you choose to email us.

What each app stores on your device

Content you create or configure is held locally, under your control. It is not transmitted to PowerSlave Developments.

TVApp. Your Jellyfin server address and sign-in credentials, so you do not have to enter them each time, plus your app settings. Browsing, streaming and playback progress are exchanged directly between your device and your own Jellyfin server — playback position is saved back to that server so you can resume on another device. We have no access to your server or anything on it.

TreeWise. Sightings you log, including any photos you attach, and your app settings.

PhotoWise. Photos taken in the app, the things a child teaches it to recognise, and app settings. The "My Brain" screen shows everything that has been taught and lets you delete any of it. The camera stays off until an activity is chosen.

Contagion and JetPack. Game progress, scores and settings.

Removing an app from your device deletes the data it stored. Because none of it reaches us, there is nothing for us to delete on our side and no request you need to make.

Network connections

TVApp connects to the Jellyfin server address you enter, and to nothing else of ours. That server is yours; how it handles your data is governed by your own setup, not by us.

PhotoWise makes no network connections at all. It contains no networking code, and the recognition, composition scoring, colour analysis and filters all run on the device using Apple's on-device frameworks. It works with no internet connection.

The other apps do not send your personal information anywhere. Where an app needs to reach the internet for a functional reason, the request carries only what is needed to serve it, and no copy comes to us.

Apple operates the App Store and may collect its own data around downloads, purchases and crash reports under Apple's privacy policy. That relationship is between you and Apple; any crash reports we can see through Apple are aggregated and do not identify you.

Children's privacy

PhotoWise is designed for children, aimed at 8–12 year olds. It is built so that there is nothing to collect: it has no network code, no analytics, no advertising, no sign-in and no in-app purchases. Photos taken in the app and anything a child teaches it stay on the device, and the "My Brain" screen lets a child or parent review and delete what has been taught.

Our other apps are not directed at children. None of them, PhotoWise included, knowingly collect information from anyone of any age — because they do not collect information from anyone at all. That applies equally under the UK and EU GDPR and the US Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA): there is no personal data leaving the device for those rules to attach to.

PhotoWise and the App Store Kids Category

PhotoWise is made for 8–12 year olds, so it is built to the stricter standard that children's software is held to — under the US Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), Article 8 of the UK and EU GDPR, and Apple's own Kids Category rules.

• No third-party analytics or advertising. The app contains no analytics, crash-reporting or advertising SDKs. It has no third-party dependencies of any kind.
• Nothing leaves the device. There is no networking code in the app and no way to send anything out of it. No personal information, device information or usage data goes to us or to anyone else, because nothing is sent at all.
• No tracking. No advertising identifiers, no behavioural profiling, no cross-app or cross-site tracking.
• No accounts and no purchases. There is no sign-in, no registration, and no in-app purchases or other commerce.
• The AI runs on the device. Recognition and composition scoring use Apple's built-in on-device models. Photos are never uploaded for analysis, and nothing a child does is used to train anything beyond their own copy of the app.

What a parent can do. The My Brain screen lists everything the app has been taught and lets you delete any of it, or all of it. Photos taken in the app live in its own gallery on the device. Deleting the app removes everything it stored.

Camera and photo access. The app asks for camera permission, and for photo library access if a child chooses a picture rather than taking one. Both are used on the device only. The camera stays off until a child picks an activity, and permission can be withdrawn at any time in the Settings app.

Your rights

Privacy laws such as the UK GDPR and the EU GDPR give you rights over personal data a company holds about you — to access it, correct it, delete it, or object to its use. We hold no personal data about you, so there is nothing for those rights to apply to. If you believe otherwise, email us and we will look into it.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new "last updated" date.
